Agate Creek Agate comes from the premier locality for agates in Australia. This polished piece shows banded agate in shades of yellow and blue-gray, with a bleaching effect towards the outer walls of the nodule. Some sections show hints of parallax, and there is a small section of parallel water-level banding.

Agate Creek Agate, also commonly called Queensland Agate, comes from an area in the north of Queensland, Australia, where several creeks come to a head. Naturally weathered agates can be found in gravel beds or soil fields, and several deposits produce nodules through hand-digging.
