This natural piece of Variscite has been slightly worked to grind the open face smooth. It shows a pretty mint green color with gray and chalky white matrix.

Variscite is type of mineral similar to Turquoise, mainly differing in its crystal system and lack of copper within its chemical makeup. It is formed from water depositing phosphate ions onto aluminum-rich rocks. Its shades of beautiful green colors come from inclusions of chromium or vanadium.
