PYR211 Pyrite in Matrix
This Pyrite cube in Marl Matrix is from Navajún, Spain. These are natural pyrite minerals and are famous all around the world for their incredible formation. Originally discovered in 1965, the mine has been continually worked to this day. The chemical formula for pyrite is FeS2.
This features two cubes (2.3 x 2.3 x 2.3 cm and 2.7 x 3.1 x 2.8 cm) in their original matrix (approximately 10.5 cm long).
