This carving of two warty toads was expertly hand-carved in China out of Nature's Paintbrush, a dendritic dolomite that is often used for carving. The stone in this piece is mostly a neutral tan with dark brown to black dendritic patterns throughout. One toad is much larger, with the smaller one clinging to its back. The piece has intricate bumps carved over both toads to mimic their unique skin texture. It is fixed to a smooth Black Onyx base with a thick bevel.
