This polished cabochon is a laminate or doublet cab, combining Australian Black Jade and Feather Ridge Plume Agate from Oregon. Over a solid black background, it shows exceptionally clear agate with well-defined plumes in white, yellow, peach, pink, and red. It has a few tiny pockets of druzy and a slightly larger opening with visible botryoidal formation.

Feather Ridge Plume Agate is found near the border of Oregon and Idaho, south of the Graveyard Point mining area within the greater Owyhee region. The deposit was originally found by rockhound Jake Jacobitz, who lead his friend Philip Stephenson to the location to officially claim it in 2012. The agate is known for its strong pink, purple, and golden plumes.
